Diet Quality and Cognition - the missing link? Symposium


On the 24th June the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) hosted a symposium Diet Quality and cognition - the missing link? The focus of the symposium was on the importance of nutrients, particularly iron, zinc, Vitamin B12, Omega 3 and protein on brain function and cognition.

What's Eating Australia Today? - Symposium


On Wednesday 4th November the DAA hosted the MLA symposium 'What's eating Australia today?'. The symposium provided new insights on eating behaviours in Australia and what it means in practice.

Workshop 1


On the 13th February 2009 a unique closed workshop, Food policy and the environment - bridging the gap, was held.

This workshop brought together primary producer organisations, producers, non-government organisations and leaders in public health to better understand environmental issues from different perspectives with the aim of developing a food policy in the future.

Following the successful meeting Food policy and the environment – bridging the gap held in February 2009 which brought public health and primary industry together to talk about environmental sustainability and food policy, a second meeting was held in July 2009.
